🧪 Phosphine Emission Test

Red phosphorous flame retardant materials may pose a risk of phosphine (PH₃) emission in long-term humid and hot environments, which could cause corrosion of metal contacts. To ensure long-term reliability in E&E applications, DOMO conducted rigorous emission tests on the TECHNYL PROTECT red phosphorous FR series.

📋 Test Conditions:
  • Environment: 70°C · 4 weeks (672 hours)
  • Samples: 2 impact bars (80×10×4 mm) + metal specimen
  • Method: Metal specimen placed at bottom of test tube, impact bars above, water added, sealed, and placed in 70°C environment

Test Results

After accelerated aging at 70°C for 4 weeks, no visible phosphine emission was observed on the metal specimens for both materials. Each product was tested twice to verify reliability. This confirms the long-term stability of the TECHNYL PROTECT red phosphorous FR series in humid and hot environments, making it safe for E&E components sensitive to metal contact corrosion.
